The vision of the seven trumpeting angels in Revelation chapters 8-9 almost reads like an Edgar Allen Poe novel. The imagery is striking, even creepy at times, and it is sure to stick with you. Yet, the point is clear. Trusting in created things will only result in hopelessness. Trusting in the Lord Himself--revealed to us in the person and work of Jesus--is the only way of discovering lasting hope and true purpose for your life.
